This 200 unit, 14-story condominium building is in the first phase of a three-phased mixed-use development, located in the emerging "Capitol Riverfront" District in Southeast Washington, DC. Boasting views of the Nationals Ballpark Stadium and the United States Capitol, the design concept for the exterior skin of the building is based on the layering of solid and transparent planes. Solid pre-cast panels are peeled back at buildings corners to reveal floor to ceiling glass at living areas. A series of projecting glass bays with balconies are rhythmically organized along the facade. First floor residential units are designed with semi-private terrace spaces to activate the pedestrian level at the street. Building amenities include an interior fitness area, landscaped courtyard, and rooftop pool and terrace.

The primary design goal of the Tenley Park project was to develop a prominent Tenlytown street corner in a contextual way; so that the resulting architecture would contribute to the streetscape while blending with the established architectural character of the surrounding neighborhood. Since the property widened from front to back, the solution was to arrange the townhouses in a fan shape, both to create space between the structures for light and air, and to create a public space in front of the townhouses. The traditional style of the architecture was selected to complement the surrounding neighborhood, characterized by the use of brick, cedar shingles, and painted trim work.

The design of the Linden Town Homes posed a challenge due to the nature of the site, which was triangular in shape, and could only accommodate six units. As a result of this extreme condition, only two homes were alike, but the selected materials and architecture seek to tie them together. The units are composed of brick and concrete at the lower level, with stucco finish above, with box bays trimmed in wood that accentuate every building entrance.

This mixed-use renovation and addition project is located in the Penn Quarter neighborhood. The front façade was repaired and restored and a new storefront was designed based on historic photographs and documentation. Working closely with the local historic review boards, the final design included removal of an existing, non-historic one-story rear addition, rebuilding the original exterior rear wall, and a four-story addition. A courtyard above the first floor retail was created to provide light, ventilation, and recreation space for the residential units. The scale and rhythm of the existing structure are reflected in the addition while contemporary materials and detailing provide a clear visual distinction between the structures.

The 6th and L Street project is a twenty-unit condominium development located in the Mount Vernon Square District of Washington, DC. The combined units will total approximately 22,047 square feet. The dynamic, multi-faceted design includes the rehabilitation of the historic James Essex House, built in 1855, and the construction of two new buildings - a three-story building with a mezzanine to the West of the James Essex House and a three-story building adjacent and directly North of the historic house. The existing facade of the James Essex House will be restored to its original character. The new construction incorporates muted brick colors and cast stone trim work to contrast the historic structure. Additional highlights of the project include residential access to a landscaped entry courtyard along L Street and below-grade parking.
